Bloodshed. The name has been celebrated in raps from Harlem rappers Cam'ron, the late great Big L, Mase and Jim Jones. The New York figure was a member of Cam's Children of the Corn crew, which consisted of Big L and Murder Mase. However, Bloodshed would unfortunately see his last days when he was killed in a car accident in Harlem in the '90s. Years later, group member Big L also succumbed to death on the Harlem streets after he was killed in his neighborhood.

This past week, the MTV News hip-hop team caught up with Jim Jones in Harlem, where he previewed a few songs off his new Ghost of Rich Porter mixtape. You'll notice that Jim decided to hold the interview in a candid spot: In front of a mural of Bloodshed.

Cam'ron and Jim Jones may have had a falling out, but one thing that's kept them in tact is their shared love for Bloodshed.

For more on our interview with Jim Jones, be sure to check out this coming Monday's (March 22) episode of Mixtape Daily at MTV News.

When you think about it, the idea that we sort of take flying for granted is a bit absurd. Consider just how amazing it is that if you wanted to, you could get from New York to Los Angeles in five hours, a trip that would take days by car and months via covered wagon. Sure, airports are annoying and security measures are alarmist and insane, but the fact that most of the world is open to you at generally affordable rates should not be overlooked.

Air travel continues to evolve, and the introduction of personal entertainment systems, wireless Internet and blue potato chips have all made flying a smoother, more pleasant experience. That evolution jumps forward a significant amount today, as the first Boeing 787 Dreamliner will make its maiden voyage from Seattle (provided that the weather cooperates). Though the plane is nearly two years behind schedule, excitement has been running high, as the lightweight airframe (made out of state-of-the-art carbon composites) will use less fuel and is set to revolutionize the way airlines can operate. Boeing is banking on the Dreamliner being a success, as the company already has 840 standing orders from 50 customers around the world.

It's likely that the 787 Dreamliner will become the standard for international travel. In fact, there are several design details that are specifically focused on preventing jet lag. It's a remarkable leap forward for engineering, physics and the way we have access to the rest of the world. In honor of the 787 Dreamliner's maiden voyage, enjoy Jim Jones' "We Fly High."

Three months ago, former Dipset affiliate Max B (real name Charles Wingate) was found guilty of manslaughter and conspiracy to commit robbery (among other charges) stemming from a 2006 incident in northern New Jersey. Today, the Harlem rapper was sentenced to 75 years in prison.

A jury found Max B guilty of nine of the 11 total counts he faced during his trial, all of which stemmed from an incident wherein the rapper and two other men attempted to steal $30,000 from another pair of men at a Holiday Inn, leading to one of those two getting shot. Max fired his attorney Gerald Saluti shortly before the sentencing and plans on appealing the sentence.

The rapper was first introduced to the rap world as a member of Jim Jones' Dipset offshoot crew Byrd Gang a few years ago and is known best for delivering a scathing verse on a Jay-Z dis track called "You Gotta Love It," which was anchored by Cam'ron. He was just building a healthy mixtape portfolio when he was arrested in 2006. He has still managed to release music, most notably the Coke Wave mixtape (a collaboration with French Montana) and a proper full-length album that has seen its release delayed by a falling out with Jones and his ongoing legal troubles. In fact, G-Unit's Tony Yayo talked to MTV News correspondent Shaheem Reed back in December and said that he was considering trying to acquire Max B's contract. However, B's musical future is clearly in doubt, though incarceration hasn't stopped other rappers — like Shyne and C-Murder — from putting out albums.

Jim Jones

Jim Jones was arrested last night in Teaneck, New Jersey, for an outstanding unpaid traffic ticket from 2005 — for $120. The Diplomat Capo talked about being stopped by police, arrested and taken down to the station on his Twitter page.

"Well it didn't go the way I wanted," he Tweeted. "I'm in the precinct but I still have my phone. They ain't trippin'. They said just procedure."

Jones, who put out his Pray IV Reign LP a couple of weeks ago, had more than enough to pay his fine in cash and was back on the streets in his black Bentley in no time. He didn't seem stressed out in his Tweets.

"Once again I twitted when I got pulled over on Mon and now its all over the news and newspapers in NJ," he posted on his page today. "Sheeesh. Can't do nothin right lol. Love it."
