This year, Joe Jonas stopped straightening his hair, a life choice we approved of as soon as we noticed it. We loved him going au naturale and embracing his hair's natural curl (a move all his brothers had already been doing). However, with his new do, we are crushing even harder on the 20-year-old pop star.
In new photos that have popped up online over the weekend, Joe is rocking a new shorter haircut. We are calling it babelicious. The messy shorter hairstyle is probably the most mature and dishiest way the singer has worn his hair yet.
Although the other two Jonas Brothers have yet to tweet about Joe's latest style choice (although they did remember to tweet about their show in the Dominican Republic, the Yankees victory and wrapping up "Camp Rock 2"), we do remember fondly an interview we did with Joe and his brothers over the summer where Kevin briefly touched upon his brother's decision to change his hair from his once signature pin-straight locks.
"You know what happened?" eldest brother, Kevin explained to MTV News. "One day he went to the beach and just like the salt water I think it messed up your hair because it all of a sudden became curly."
So, what happened this time? Did he walk into some hedge clippers and suddenly have shorter hair?
What do you think? Is Joe's new, shorter hair a step in the right direction, or do you miss his curly locks? Leave your thoughts below or head over to Your.MTV.com to make your voice heard!

Every day, stars wander the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with staff members. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of celebs in the wild.
The Jonas Brothers aren't just about catchy songs, teenage hearts and wacky sitcoms. They're also steeped in activism: Joe Jonas ran in a charity race for the Special Olympics, and yesterday Nick went to the National Press Club luncheon in Washington, D.C., to discuss his struggle with juvenile diabetes. Nick was diagnosed with Type I diabetes when he was 13 and has to keep close tabs on his insulin levels. He has established the Change for Children program and helped out with a PSA for the Children's National Medical Center. At the luncheon, Nick encouraged the press to delve deeply into the problems surrounding juvenile diabetes. "I'm lucky to have a great support system in my family as well as the tools I need to manage my diabetes properly," he said. "By speaking publicly about my experience I hope to increase diabetes awareness, encourage diabetes education and help fundraising for research and other programs for kids with diabetes. The more you report about diabetes, the more people will know."
Nick Jonas was certainly the most altruistic of celebrities out in public yesterday, but that didn't stop them from attracting some camera flashes. Lady Gaga landed at the airport in Los Angeles, Britney Spears visited the M&M Store in Times Square and Rihanna explored lower Manhattan. The new season of "American Idol" won't premiere until January 2010, but preparations are already heating up. Paula Abdul is out as a judge, and with auditions already underway, the roster of guest judges is growing every day. Joe Jonas, Katy Perry, Mary J. Blige, Kelly Clarkson, Victoria Beckham and Shania Twain have all committed to lending their expertise to the singing competition, with more names on the way. The role of the guest judge is always tough, as there is always the worry that the chemistry between the adjudicators will be thrown off or the guest won't have as much to add as Simon or Randy. But "American Idol" is a show that likes to experiment, as evidenced by that eclectic lineup of guest stars.
The MTV Newsroom has already endorsed Joe Jonas as the favorite, but we wanted to get some outside perspective. So we hit the streets outside the MTV News offices and asked a handful of "American Idol" enthusiasts which one of the announced guest judges would be their favorite.
The nowhere-near scientific results are in, and the numbers show that Mary J. Blige slightly edges out Katy Perry for the top position with 39 percent of the vote. Perry is in a close second with 31 percent, followed by Victoria Beckham with 17 percent. Shockingly, Joe Jonas finds himself bringing up the rear with a paltry 13 percent of the vote. Many fans rallied behind Blige's experience in the industry, whereas most people credited Beckham with being sexy. By far the best endorsement was for Katy Perry, who one respondent voted for because with Abdul gone, somebody has to show up and say something crazy.

We're now at the point where Justin Timberlake might actually be obsessive compulsive. Sure, he has made a name for himself as a singer, dancer, actor and comedian, but lately he's been casting his net especially wide. Having just opened up his first golf course, Timberlake apparently has his heart set on becoming a member of Hell's Angels. The multi-talented star was spotted leaving Los Angeles eatery Cafe Med on his motorcycle, which is a custom Harley Davidson.

He's not the only former "Mickey Mouse Club" cast member to enjoy two-wheeled action, as actor Ryan Gosling has been seen cruising around town on a vintage Honda motorcycle.
Elsewhere in today's update: Rick Ross exits his New York hotel (he would later join John Legend on stage at Madison Square Garden), Joe Jonas runs (and sweats) in a charity race, Paula Abdul gets some medical attention in Los Angeles and the freshly-impregnated Kourtney Kardashian pays a visit to BET's "106 & Park." Check out these photos — as well as the entire ongoing archive — in MTV News' "Spotted!" photo gallery.

The week is over (as is the month of July), so it's time to close the books here in the Newsroom. It was another wild one, with plenty of beef, a handful of rumors, a little hilarity and at least one incredibly amazing video care of Shakira. But what lessons did we learn? You can feel confident walking into the weekend knowing that you can take the following revelations as absolute truth.
» It's unlikely that Eminem will be buying Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon an anniversary gift.
» William Shatner has a knack for nonsensical poetry. Got a Twitter account? He'll kill that too.
» Madonna may have been hitting the gym too hard. (Though she's still not as jacked as Trent Reznor.)

While brother Kevin prepares for wedded bliss, one of the Jonas Brothers is single once again. Yesterday, MTV News got confirmation that Joe Jonas had officially split up with actress Camilla Belle. Despite rumors that Belle was cheating on Joe with a Spanish tennis star, a representative from the Belle camp says the split has nothing to do with anybody else. Still, that hasn't stopped Joe from changing the lyrics to the song "Much Better" at recent concerts, with the line "Get a rep for breakin' hearts, now I'm done with superstars," becoming "Get a rep for breakin' hearts, now I'm done with movie stars."
This is the second consecutive relationship that has ended publicly for Joe — he famously split with pop country star Taylor Swift last year. So does Joe still have the sympathy of the people? We wandered downstairs to talk to the folks lined up to get into today's episode of It's On with Alexa Chung and asked: Are you on Joe Jonas' side or Camilla Belle's side in the aftermath of their split?
The wildly inaccurate polling reveals something we probably could have predicted: A full 81 percent of those polled side with Joe, leaving only 19 percent on Team Camilla. The alignments weren't necessarily altruistic, though, as several people sided with Joe only because it meant that he was now single and available.
What do you think? Did Camilla break Joe's heart, or is Joe just the player that Swift has intimated that he is? Leave your thoughts in the comments or head over to Your.MTV.com to make your voice heard!
Word on the Internet is that Joe Jonas is looking to get a little love shack with his lady, Camilla Belle. Joe lives with brothers Nick and Joe, and according to sources, he's looking to find a place with a little more privacy.
"The Jonas Brothers' home is too crowded and inconvenient for Camilla. They're looking for somewhere that's super-private," a source tells Star magazine, according to AceShowbiz.com.
But Joe's parents are apparently none too pleased with the notion of their 19-year-old son, who has pledged abstinence until marriage, living with his 22-year-old starlet girlfriend. Read more...

Back when I was 10 years old, if the Backstreet Boys had put out a movie and stopped by my local theater for a visit, I would have totally resembled every screaming and crying Jonas Brothers fan that were surprised when the boys stopped by their local theaters this past weekend.
As an MTV News intern, I had the opportunity to go to the upstate New York stop of the Jonas Brothers' lengthy weekend agenda of theater visits, in which the pop heartthrobs surprised fans all over the country with stops at undisclosed locations in support of their movie, "Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience."
While watching the little curly redhead who couldn't even speak she was so startled, or the pair of teens who couldn't stop jumping up and down and hugging each other, I could only imagine how I would have reacted 10 years ago if it were Nick Carter and Kevin Richardson that were mere feet away from me.

With Joe dating Camilla Belle and Kevin dating hometown love Danielle, all the reporters at the red-carpet premiere of "Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience" wanted to know: Which JoBro will walk down the aisle first?
Even though Nick admitted to being "single" on the carpet, dad Kevin Sr. thought he might be the one to take the plunge first. "He is the most driven, focused of the three," he said of Nick. "I don't really know who will get married first — maybe Frankie."
We relish the thought of 8-year-old Frankie "Bonus" Jonas getting married before his older brothers. Friends of the Jonas Brothers got into the act and also placed bets on who is going to marry first. Read more...
OK, so it seems that every day we're learning something new about Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas. But then again, there are those little things you forget about the boys. So, we decided that in honor of their pop-week MVP status, we'd round up all those little-known facts about the teen heartthrobs.
Here's five things you might not know about the Jonas Brothers.
1. They would love to make a movie with Ben Stiller. "I love Ben Stiller and we met him just recently," Joe said. "We were talking with him about doing a movie."
