Every day a multitude of stars wanders through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with our intrepid correspondents. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.

The Jonas Brothers' tour through Europe hit a bit of a hiccup last week when Nick caught an upper respiratory infection, forcing the group to cancel a concert in Zurich, Switzerland. But the trio have bounced back and continue on the road through the continent, stopping yesterday in Madrid, Spain. They paid a visit to Santiago Bernabeu, the stadium where top world soccer team Real Madrid plays its games. The brothers kicked the ball around and, after receiving customized Real Madrid shirts from the team, got their picture taken in front of international soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo's locker.

The Jonas Brothers weren't the only stars indulging in their sports fandom yesterday, as the Black Eyed Peas hung out at the launch for Jump Footwear (for which Taboo designed a custom sneaker) and Mariah Carey was spotted outside her London hotel (she wasn't doing anything sports-related, though she was once linked with New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter). Click here for these photos as well as the entire "Spotted!" archive, featuring more than 350 candid shots of stars like Britney Spears, Beyoncé, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry, Adam Lambert, Shakira, Rihanna and 50 Cent!

This year, Joe Jonas stopped straightening his hair, a life choice we approved of as soon as we noticed it. We loved him going au naturale and embracing his hair's natural curl (a move all his brothers had already been doing). However, with his new do, we are crushing even harder on the 20-year-old pop star.

In new photos that have popped up online over the weekend, Joe is rocking a new shorter haircut. We are calling it babelicious. The messy shorter hairstyle is probably the most mature and dishiest way the singer has worn his hair yet.

Although the other two Jonas Brothers have yet to tweet about Joe's latest style choice (although they did remember to tweet about their show in the Dominican Republic, the Yankees victory and wrapping up "Camp Rock 2"), we do remember fondly an interview we did with Joe and his brothers over the summer where Kevin briefly touched upon his brother's decision to change his hair from his once signature pin-straight locks.

"You know what happened?" eldest brother, Kevin explained to MTV News. "One day he went to the beach and just like the salt water I think it messed up your hair because it all of a sudden became curly."

So, what happened this time? Did he walk into some hedge clippers and suddenly have shorter hair?

What do you think? Is Joe's new, shorter hair a step in the right direction, or do you miss his curly locks? Leave your thoughts below or head over to Your.MTV.com to make your voice heard!

The Jonas Brothers head back out onto the road next week and will be out of the country touring South American and Europe for the next two months, which means that American fans will be denied the boys' presence in their native country. Luckily, there are three lifelike doppelgangers stationed in Hollywood who will allow for visits any time (or at least during museum hours). Yesterday (September 30), Madame Tussaud's unveiled the wax figures of the pop-rock trio. The statues cost a total of $1 million to produce and feature actual clothes worn by the band (they donated a few outfits for the cause).

This isn't the first time the band has been given a wax tribute — they've already got wax replicas at the Madame Tussaud's in Washington, D.C. (which debuted in 2008). In the 18 months in between the two sculpture premieres, the artists clearly haven't figured out what to do with Nick, who is posed at an extremely odd angle. (The Washington version also features his body shaped at odd angles.) He's an energetic performer for sure, and is often caught in photos in especially unorthodox rock poses, but he really looks like he's got some problems with his bone structure.

The band took some time off from their tour for their latest album Lines, Vines and Trying Times to go film the sequel to "Camp Rock" up in Canada. Now that they've wrapped up, their tour takes them to a few U.S. dates before they break out their passports for stops in Mexico, Venezuela and a number of cities in Europe.

A cake with 17 candles on it should be given to Nick Jonas today, as one third of the Jonas Brothers will be celebrating his birthday. It's incredible to think that one of the voices behind four hugely successful albums, a hit TV show, a much-beloved Disney movie and countless sold out concerts isn't even of legal voting age yet. Nick is the philanthropist of the trio, as his own diabetes drove him to spearhead the group's support of a number of charities that seek to help kids cope with and maintain juvenile diabetes. (He recently spoke on the subject at the National Press Club luncheon in Washington, D.C.) Nick also has one of the more intriguing personal lives of the three JoBros, as he has been fellow Disney superstar Miley Cyrus' on-again, off-again boyfriend for several years. In the coming months, he'll serve as one of the best men (along with other brother Joe) at oldest brother Kevin's wedding. In the meantime, the seemingly always-on-tour Brothers will do some jet-setting at the end of October, where they will make a brief run through South America before heading on a European tour that will take them to Paris, Stockholm, Zurich and Dublin, among other places. Not bad for a 17-year-old kid.

So much is made about the Jonas Brothers' acting, personal lives and general heartthrobbery that it sometimes seems like their music is an afterthought. But through the band's four albums, they've managed to establish themselves as a formidable pop-rock outfit who borrow heavily from the likes of Cheap Trick, the Cars and other bands from power pop's golden age. Nick's knack for developing melodies is uncanny, and he delivers his lyrics with just the right balance of sweetness and snap. "Paranoid" represents not only the group's strongest single to date but also their most impressive video, proving that the band's visual style is maturing along with their records.

The Jonas Brothers sure know how to draw a crowd. The boys headed to Toronto, Canada, to tape a live interview with MuchMusic before their concert at the Rogers Centre. Thousands of screaming fans flooded the streets around the MuchMusic headquarters to catch a glimpse of the boy band. Elsewhere in Canada, "Twilight" stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Ashley Greene were spotted on the set of "Eclipse" in Vancouver. Meanwhile, after performing a sold-out show at the Hollywood Palladium this weekend, Katy Perry had time to stop and take photos with her fans — one of whom looked just like the pop star herself!

Last night in Columbus, Ohio, the Jonas Brothers conquered their latest sold-out crowd on their tour in support of their latest album Lines, Vines and Trying Times. Clearly, the trio have not let their individual projects get in the way of their focus as a band. Nick took time off recently to talk to the National Press Club about juvenile diabetes. Meanwhile, Kevin has been busy planning his wedding to fiancé Danielle Deleasa, which may happen by the end of the year. And in between dancing in Beyoncé parody videos, Joe has already committed himself to participating in the new season of "American Idol."

But as they proved last night in Columbus, the three brothers remain at their strongest as a tight, rocking unit. The band pumped out their hits and sprinkled in their cover of Neil Diamond's "Sweet Caroline," all while moving about the stage with cat-like energy and constantly engaging the adoring crowd.

The band's tour continues tonight in Cleveland. From there, they hit a few spots in Canada before taking a well-deserved break. They'll need it, because in October they cross the Atlantic to play a huge European tour, which will take them to Stockholm, Paris, Berlin, Zurich, Torino, Madrid, London, Dublin and about a dozen others. The day has arrived: The Jonas Brothers are now a truly worldwide phenomenon.

The Jonas Brothers aren't just about catchy songs, teenage hearts and wacky sitcoms. They're also steeped in activism: Joe Jonas ran in a charity race for the Special Olympics, and yesterday Nick went to the National Press Club luncheon in Washington, D.C., to discuss his struggle with juvenile diabetes. Nick was diagnosed with Type I diabetes when he was 13 and has to keep close tabs on his insulin levels. He has established the Change for Children program and helped out with a PSA for the Children's National Medical Center. At the luncheon, Nick encouraged the press to delve deeply into the problems surrounding juvenile diabetes. "I'm lucky to have a great support system in my family as well as the tools I need to manage my diabetes properly," he said. "By speaking publicly about my experience I hope to increase diabetes awareness, encourage diabetes education and help fundraising for research and other programs for kids with diabetes. The more you report about diabetes, the more people will know."

Nick Jonas was certainly the most altruistic of celebrities out in public yesterday, but that didn't stop them from attracting some camera flashes. Lady Gaga landed at the airport in Los Angeles, Britney Spears visited the M&M Store in Times Square and Rihanna explored lower Manhattan. The new season of "American Idol" won't premiere until January 2010, but preparations are already heating up. Paula Abdul is out as a judge, and with auditions already underway, the roster of guest judges is growing every day. Joe Jonas, Katy Perry, Mary J. Blige, Kelly Clarkson, Victoria Beckham and Shania Twain have all committed to lending their expertise to the singing competition, with more names on the way. The role of the guest judge is always tough, as there is always the worry that the chemistry between the adjudicators will be thrown off or the guest won't have as much to add as Simon or Randy. But "American Idol" is a show that likes to experiment, as evidenced by that eclectic lineup of guest stars.

The MTV Newsroom has already endorsed Joe Jonas as the favorite, but we wanted to get some outside perspective. So we hit the streets outside the MTV News offices and asked a handful of "American Idol" enthusiasts which one of the announced guest judges would be their favorite.

The nowhere-near scientific results are in, and the numbers show that Mary J. Blige slightly edges out Katy Perry for the top position with 39 percent of the vote. Perry is in a close second with 31 percent, followed by Victoria Beckham with 17 percent. Shockingly, Joe Jonas finds himself bringing up the rear with a paltry 13 percent of the vote. Many fans rallied behind Blige's experience in the industry, whereas most people credited Beckham with being sexy. By far the best endorsement was for Katy Perry, who one respondent voted for because with Abdul gone, somebody has to show up and say something crazy.

With Paula Abdul currently out of the picture, the producers of "American Idol" are working on beefing up the star power on the show. So far, they've only broken out the big guns: Katy Perry, Mary J. Blige, Shania Twain and Victoria Beckham have all been confirmed for the upcoming season of the show, and two more huge stars are apparently close to confirming their participation. The first, Kelly Clarkson, is an obvious choice. Why wouldn't you want to involve the first (and arguably most successful) "American Idol" winner? The other name is probably bigger and arguably more intriguing than Clarkson, and that's Joe Jonas of those more-famous-than-famous Jonas Brothers.

While Joe doesn't necessarily have the same sort of long career that Blige or Twain or even Clarkson, he's a guy who knows all about singing, performance, songwriting and fame. Since the Jonas Brothers exist in just about every pop music context you can find (pop and rock, kids and teens, dance music and ballads), he should have advice for everybody, not just the contestants who seem to match up with his worldview. (Blige, for example, probably would be no help to anybody with more of a rock background, and Twain will likely only be useful to those finalists interested in country music.)

And since Joe is a pretty playful performer and often game for whatever (he did pour himself into a catsuit to pay homage to Beyoncé's "Single Ladies" video after all), he would be ready to banter with Randy, go toe-to-toe with Simon and do whatever it is that Kara does. It'll make for some great television as well as produce good music.

So here's hoping the rumor morphs its way into confirmation. And why stop at just offering him a guest slot? Make him a permanent member of the team! He's probably got a lot of other stuff going on (what with being in one of the biggest bands in the world and all), but even if you don't like the Jonas Brothers, Joe Jonas can only bring awesomeness to the upcoming season of "American Idol."

We're now at the point where Justin Timberlake might actually be obsessive compulsive. Sure, he has made a name for himself as a singer, dancer, actor and comedian, but lately he's been casting his net especially wide. Having just opened up his first golf course, Timberlake apparently has his heart set on becoming a member of Hell's Angels. The multi-talented star was spotted leaving Los Angeles eatery Cafe Med on his motorcycle, which is a custom Harley Davidson.

(Click here for the entire archive of Spotted! photos, including Beyoncé, Britney Spears, the Jonas Brothers and more!)

He's not the only former "Mickey Mouse Club" cast member to enjoy two-wheeled action, as actor Ryan Gosling has been seen cruising around town on a vintage Honda motorcycle.

Elsewhere in today's update: Rick Ross exits his New York hotel (he would later join John Legend on stage at Madison Square Garden), Joe Jonas runs (and sweats) in a charity race, Paula Abdul gets some medical attention in Los Angeles and the freshly-impregnated Kourtney Kardashian pays a visit to BET's "106 & Park."
