It's MTV's second annual Musical March Madness! MTV News took the 64 biggest names in rock, split them up into four regions, assigned them seeds and puts them up against one another in a single-elimination series of match-ups in a winner-take-all contest. We're leaving it to you to decide an actual champ in this field of 64, so over the next few weeks, fan voting will determine who will emerge as this year's champion. It's all about the fans, and the artist with the most passionate fan base will score the awesome Musical March Madness trophy!

Well, it's all come down to this: After millions of votes (and nearly as many shattered dreams), thousands of comments, 62 matchups, five rounds and three weeks, we've reached the championship game of MTV's 2011 Musical March Madness tournament: Green Day vs. Paramore, for all the marbles. Both bands have survived tough challenges to get here, but only will lay claim to the MMM title. Who will it be? Only you, the fans, know for sure.

Voting in the 2011 MMM championship game will close on Monday, April 4 at midnight ET. Oh, and since we want to keep things suspenseful, voting results — and our champion — won't be revealed until Tuesday on MTVNews.com.

(3) Green Day vs. (5) Paramore
Our championship matchup pits third-seeded Green Day against #5 Paramore, a clash of two battle-tested bands (Green Day knocked off the likes of U2, Blink-182 and Panic! at the Disco in this year’s tourney, while Paramore survived showdowns against foes like No Doubt and Tokio Hotel), that also serves as the culmination of a year-long quest for redemption: both were upset in the opening round of last year’s MMM tournament, and have spent the past 12 months seething about that fact. For one of them, the long road back will end with the MMM title. And it will be your votes that decide our winner!

Voting in our championship match-up is now closed ... to see who won the 2011 MMM title, make sure to check out MTVNews.com Tuesday afternoon!

Now that was intense! The regional finals in MTV's Musical March Madness was as hard-hitting and cutthroat as it has ever been, and now only four bands remain standing. One of them will be crowned Musical March Madness champion, and each one makes a compelling case for that number one spot.

Voting for all Final Four match-ups will close on Sunday, April 3 at midnight. As always, you can follow all the voting here.

(3) Green Day vs. (9) Disturbed
In the Elite Eight, Green Day took an early lead on spry rivals Panic! at the Disco, and though the Panic boys closed the gap towards the end, Green Day tapped into their veteran instincts and finished off their opponents for a decisive victory in the West. Meanwhile, Disturbed went 12 rounds with defending champs Coheed and Cambria. There were over a dozen lead changes and a handful of late surges by both squads, but in the end, Disturbed managed to topple Coheed and Cambria by an extremely slim margin to deliver the 2010 winners their first ever Musical March Madness loss. With the Midwest in their pocket, can Disturbed continue their winning ways, or will Green Day's momentum carry them into the finals? Your votes decide it!

"We definitely need to get everybody to rally together. We need to let everybody show their strengths and just give 110 percent all the way, and just make sure that their voices are heard. This is the time to make a statement. This is the time to strike a blow for the genre and let it be known that we're not going to go away quietly."

-Disturbed frontman Dave Draiman, rallying his fans around his band's match-up with Coheed and Cambria in the Elite Eight round of MTV's Musical March Madness. His band is one of the surprising Cinderella stories of this year's tournament, as they have rallied to defeat the likes of Dave Matthews Band, Foo Fighters and Patrick Stump (all of whom fought tough battles) to reach the regional finals. Now they face their toughest test yet in Coheed and Cambria, the defending Musical March Madness champions.

Draiman recognizes the competition but feels confident that his fans will pull through. "I think they're very, very talented musicians ... I definitely think they're very stiff competition," Draiman told MTV News' James Montgomery. "They've got an unbelievably dedicated fanbase, they're a very powerful band ... they're going to be a very serious challenge for us. I mean, we're up against leviathans here, you know, whether it's Green Day or any of the rest of these guys, they're all huge bands, so we're just very, very honored to be in competition with them. And I know that we, and the Disturbed fanbase, will give 110 percent all the way."

MTV's Musical March Madness has reached the Elite Eight! Voting is now open and will continue until Thursday (March 31) at midnight, when we'll roll on to the Final Four. All winners are determined by your votes, so if your favorite act is still standing, it's up to you to guide them to glory. You can rally the troops on Twitter using the hashtag #MMM — but get ready, things only get tougher from here on out!

The Elite Eight is now entirely open for business, with the East regional final representing the last of the new round of MTV's Musical March Madness. The winner will join the champs of the Midwest, West and South regions in the Final Four in a quest for all the marbles.

(3) My Chemical Romance vs. (16) Sum 41
One of the favorites even before the tournament started, My Chemical Romance have fulfilled much of their potential, as they have plowed through three rounds of the tournament besting the likes of titans like Rage Against the Machine and Radiohead. Standing in between them and their second straight appearance in the Final Four is Sum 41, the tournament's biggest underdog. They have defied their low seed by upsetting the top-seeded Arcade Fire, international superstars Coldplay and indie darlings the Strokes. MCR represent their strongest competition yet, but the Canadians seem game to take on anybody at any time. Who will end up in the Final Four? Your votes will decide it!

The regional finals in the Midwest and West are both already intense battles, and the match-up in the South will be no different. Both of the squads left in the South have incredibly intense followings, and this should be another extra-close contest.

(5) Paramore vs. (14) Tokio Hotel
Paramore might have delivered the most impressive performance of the tournament when they defeated Linkin Park in a nail-biting fiasco that came right down to the final minutes. That particular match-up grabbed more votes than any pairing so far, which is also impressive. For their efforts, Paramore will go head-to-head with Tokio Hotel for the right to advance to the Final Four. Tokio Hotel took out Muse in the Sweet 16, but Paramore poses their greatest challenge yet. Who will come out on top? Your votes will decide it!

With the Midwest regional final already in play, it's time to move on to the West. (3) Green Day vs. (5) Panic! at the Disco
Green Day may have started the Musical March Madness tournament quietly, but they have been putting together a string of dominating performances as of late. They came back to defeat U2 in the second round and then fell behind early to Blink-182 before opening up a commanding lead at the finish. Their opponents are Panic! at the Disco, who went wire-to-wire with top-seeded 30 Seconds to Mars in the Sweet 16 and put together an incredible comeback to defeat them. With that kind of momentum, can they be stopped? Or will Green Day take their place in the Final Four? Vote and find out!

(6) Coheed and Cambria vs. (9) Disturbed
Now this is some serious business. Defending champs Coheed and Cambria had to go through the ringer and pull off some last-second heroics in order to topple Avenged Sevenfold in the Sweet 16. They run up against a dominating Disturbed squad, who have taken out the top-seeded Foo Fighters and then laid waste to a very spry Patrick Stump. Can Coheed and Cambria continue their winning ways, or will Disturbed deliver the New York band's first ever Musical March Madness defeat? Who will earn the right to represent the Midwest in the Final Four? Your votes decide it!
