Rick Ross has been on a tear these past few weeks in the wake of his street release, the Albert Anastasia EP. Even though it got competition from T.I.'s F--- a Mixtape and Drake's debut LP, thanks to tracks like "BMF" and "MC Hammer," the mixtape has made major noise — and his Teflon Don album is coming later this year.

On Monday we'll have Ross talking about the EP in Mixtape Daily, but you can check out this snippet of live footage right here.

Diddy, who recently took on management duties for the MC, raved about Ross and the EP.

"That Albert Anastasia [EP] is up there to me as one of the hardest mixtapes in history," Puff said during a Def Jam conference call with Ross and DJ Khaled. "[Ross] doesn't talk about the regular stuff you hear cats talking about now. Everything he talks about is from his soul and from his heart. He approaches the record from a real standpoint. You can tell he's approaching it from an honest standpoint. The tone of his voice, I've always been wanting to work with artists that have a certain vocal tone. He sounds like a giant. He is a giant, and he has that personality.

"He's a very unique artist," Diddy continued. "He's bigger than just an artist; he's a brand. That's one of the reasons I wanted to work with him, because I felt like we could do bigger and better things. Having worked with Biggie, somebody that also was talking about things from the streets — I'm not comparing him to Biggie, before we start going down that road, but I am saying that there are similarities in the mental approach of a record that I do have a familiarity with."

The guys gave us the inside scoop on their latest mixtape Proud To Be A Problem, courtesy of the homey DJ Teknikz. This coming Monday (June 14), we'll unleash the full segment that is sure to wet the appetites of TP fans. For now, check out a sneak preview.

I started my Twitter account almost a year ago. In the beginning, I just wasn't into that particular social network (I would literally send out one tweet every month). About three weeks ago, I decided that I was going to dig in and start using Twitter on a more regular basis. Once I got on, I started getting all these messages in support of Pittsburgh's own Wiz Khalifa. "When are you going to put Wiz on mixtape daily?" several messages read. Coincidentally, not too long from when I started tweeting, Wiz dropped his mixtape Kush and Orange Juice.

The tape was just dope — probably Wiz's best. We play it a lot around the MTV News offices, and people on the net obviously felt the same way. So with all that buzz as well as tape's superiority, we decided it was time to feature Wiz on "Mixtape Daily." The cameras started rolling in Pittsburgh and we have to say, the piece came out stuuuuupid! On Monday (May 10), you'll get to see Wiz's full "Mixtape Daily" segment. It is our main pick of the week. The piece will also be airing on "Sucker Free" and MTV Jams, and we'll let you know when you can catch Wiz on cable (stay tuned to find out exactly when).

In the meantime, check out this preview, where we capture Wiz tweeting to his loyal following. Major!

DrakeDrake the Great? This cat is really catching fire quick. A lot of the fans and other rappers are tapping him as the next super MC. You know what that means, right? It only makes Lil Wayne bigger. Weezy has been trying forever to build up his Young Money family, and although Drake's contractual obligations to Wayne have not been fully disclosed, we all know that Weezy F. Baby has given Drizzy his most major co-sign.

Weezy and Drake are sounding priceless together on tracks right about now. They're two of my favorite MCs to hear spar with each other on the track. "Successful" (also featuring Trey Songz) could be a hit if they push that button, and that "Ignant Sh--" freestyle (over the beat from Jay-Z's "Ignorant Sh--") is definitely still one of my favorite joints right now ("I'm so high I can vomit on a comet"). Props to the DJs for finally playing it on the mixshows. Wayne's verse is merciless: "I'll take probation/ I don't want the T.I. and Vick vacation."

Check out Drake in Mixtape Daily after the jump. Read More...
