A cake with 17 candles on it should be given to Nick Jonas today, as one third of the Jonas Brothers will be celebrating his birthday. It's incredible to think that one of the voices behind four hugely successful albums, a hit TV show, a much-beloved Disney movie and countless sold out concerts isn't even of legal voting age yet. Nick is the philanthropist of the trio, as his own diabetes drove him to spearhead the group's support of a number of charities that seek to help kids cope with and maintain juvenile diabetes. (He recently spoke on the subject at the National Press Club luncheon in Washington, D.C.) Nick also has one of the more intriguing personal lives of the three JoBros, as he has been fellow Disney superstar Miley Cyrus' on-again, off-again boyfriend for several years. In the coming months, he'll serve as one of the best men (along with other brother Joe) at oldest brother Kevin's wedding. In the meantime, the seemingly always-on-tour Brothers will do some jet-setting at the end of October, where they will make a brief run through South America before heading on a European tour that will take them to Paris, Stockholm, Zurich and Dublin, among other places. Not bad for a 17-year-old kid.
So much is made about the Jonas Brothers' acting, personal lives and general heartthrobbery that it sometimes seems like their music is an afterthought. But through the band's four albums, they've managed to establish themselves as a formidable pop-rock outfit who borrow heavily from the likes of Cheap Trick, the Cars and other bands from power pop's golden age. Nick's knack for developing melodies is uncanny, and he delivers his lyrics with just the right balance of sweetness and snap. "Paranoid" represents not only the group's strongest single to date but also their most impressive video, proving that the band's visual style is maturing along with their records.

Every day, stars wander the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with staff members. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of celebs in the wild.
The Jonas Brothers aren't just about catchy songs, teenage hearts and wacky sitcoms. They're also steeped in activism: Joe Jonas ran in a charity race for the Special Olympics, and yesterday Nick went to the National Press Club luncheon in Washington, D.C., to discuss his struggle with juvenile diabetes. Nick was diagnosed with Type I diabetes when he was 13 and has to keep close tabs on his insulin levels. He has established the Change for Children program and helped out with a PSA for the Children's National Medical Center. At the luncheon, Nick encouraged the press to delve deeply into the problems surrounding juvenile diabetes. "I'm lucky to have a great support system in my family as well as the tools I need to manage my diabetes properly," he said. "By speaking publicly about my experience I hope to increase diabetes awareness, encourage diabetes education and help fundraising for research and other programs for kids with diabetes. The more you report about diabetes, the more people will know."
Nick Jonas was certainly the most altruistic of celebrities out in public yesterday, but that didn't stop them from attracting some camera flashes. Lady Gaga landed at the airport in Los Angeles, Britney Spears visited the M&M Store in Times Square and Rihanna explored lower Manhattan. We all know Selena, Tay-Tay and Miley, but the latest girl to nab a Jonas is a bit of an unknown. Sure, 17-year-old singer/songwriter Jordan Pruitt might top the charts on Radio Disney and has toured with other Mickey favorites like Corbin Bleu and Raven-Symone, but it must have taken more than a performance of her single "My Shoes" to catch Nick's eye.
So what else is there to know about Jordy? In an interview with JustJaredJr.com last year, she revealed she is into recycling, spending time with her family and basketball. Boring.
What else?
She is a nail-biter (but trying to quit), she rides dirt bikes and recently started an entertainment company to discover other up-and-coming talent. Props to an adventurous spirit, but is this enough to keep the attention of superstar Nick? Or the Jonas fans? Only time will tell, and hopefully Camilla has some tips.
Check out photos of Jordan from her red-carpet appearance at "Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience."
Young starlets and pop singers seem to have finally decided that the novelty of date a Jonas Brother has worn off. Just recently, Emma Roberts told Teen Vogue that although she once coveted youngest brother Nick, these days he's "a little tainted."
"I used to have a crush on Nick, but he's kind of making his rounds in Hollywood," she said, according to TeenVogue.com. "And I don't know if I like that."
Also, let's not forget the time that Selena Gomez, also a former lady friend of Nick's, warned the boys to stop dating the girls they put their videos (girls like her and Joe's maybe GF Camilla Belle). "Just put boys in [your] videos from now on; how 'bout that?" Read more...

Back when I was 10 years old, if the Backstreet Boys had put out a movie and stopped by my local theater for a visit, I would have totally resembled every screaming and crying Jonas Brothers fan that were surprised when the boys stopped by their local theaters this past weekend.
As an MTV News intern, I had the opportunity to go to the upstate New York stop of the Jonas Brothers' lengthy weekend agenda of theater visits, in which the pop heartthrobs surprised fans all over the country with stops at undisclosed locations in support of their movie, "Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience."
While watching the little curly redhead who couldn't even speak she was so startled, or the pair of teens who couldn't stop jumping up and down and hugging each other, I could only imagine how I would have reacted 10 years ago if it were Nick Carter and Kevin Richardson that were mere feet away from me.

With Joe dating Camilla Belle and Kevin dating hometown love Danielle, all the reporters at the red-carpet premiere of "Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience" wanted to know: Which JoBro will walk down the aisle first?
Even though Nick admitted to being "single" on the carpet, dad Kevin Sr. thought he might be the one to take the plunge first. "He is the most driven, focused of the three," he said of Nick. "I don't really know who will get married first — maybe Frankie."
We relish the thought of 8-year-old Frankie "Bonus" Jonas getting married before his older brothers. Friends of the Jonas Brothers got into the act and also placed bets on who is going to marry first. Read more...
This is one of those stories that makes you question whether true love even exists. Selena Gomez's "Wizards of Waverly Place" co-star Jennifer Stone thinks that despite all the hoopla surrounding the rumored Nick Jonas and Selena Gomez love affair, it was never real.
Just days after Nick revealed that he's single, ready to mingle and no longer dating rumored gal pal Selena, Jennifer is dishing that she doesn't think the pair were ever really an item! What?
"I don't think they're dating. I don't know if they were ever dating!" she told E! "I think it was one of those weird rumors. A lot of people always ask. I'm like, I spend every day with her. I don't think that's the case. I think she'd let me know. She and I are both single ladies." Read more...

OK, so it seems that every day we're learning something new about Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas. But then again, there are those little things you forget about the boys. So, we decided that in honor of their pop-week MVP status, we'd round up all those little-known facts about the teen heartthrobs.
Here's five things you might not know about the Jonas Brothers.
1. They would love to make a movie with Ben Stiller. "I love Ben Stiller and we met him just recently," Joe said. "We were talking with him about doing a movie."
