"The Twilight Saga: New Moon" brought in another boatload of money over the long Thanksgiving holiday weekend, and the cast certainly intends on bringing people back to the cinemas again and again. For the third week in a row, this week's talk shows are littered with stars from the second film in the "Twilight" series. While "The Late Show with David Letterman" and "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" are both on hiatus this week, there are still plenty of people worth losing sleep over on your television dial. Case in point: Jimmy Kimmel will welcome "New Moon" stars Kellan Lutz on Tuesday (December 1), Nikki Reed on Wednesday (December 2) and Ashley Greene on Thursday (December 3). And in case you missed it the first time around, "Jimmy Kimmel Live" will replay the episode that aired the day that "New Moon" opened — which featured Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and Death Cab for Cutie — as a repeat tonight (November 30).
Even if you're not into "New Moon," there are plenty of musical options on this week's after-hours programs. "Lopez Tonight" remains an unwatchable mess, but it'd be worth checking out the last few minutes of tonight's episode to catch David Guetta and Akon perform "Sexy Chick." "The Jay Leno Show" is also a disaster, but it might be fun to watch Leno interact with Maxwell (who appears on Thursday, December 3) and Taylor Swift (Friday, December 4).
If daytime is more your thing, you won't want to miss Tuesday's episode of "Ellen," which will feature Adam Lambert. She also has Ashley Greene on Wednesday and Allison Iraheta on Friday. "Live with Regis and Kelly" will welcome the Jackson brothers on Thursday and Ashley Greene today. (Is there a show Greene hasn't been on?)
But in all honesty, the best bet for late-night entertainment this week will be tonight's appearance by William Shatner on "The Tonight Show," along with Friday night's broadcast of the 2009 mtvU Woodie Awards (which air Friday, December 4 at 10 p.m. on MTV, MTV2 and mtvU).
