Dye your hair with Kool-Aid and start joking about cutting, because 30-second snippets of Allison Iraheta's major label debut Just Like You have hit the web. Everybody knows I was less-than-thrilled with the super-poppy, heavily-processed vocals of Iraheta's Max Martin-produced single "Friday I'll Be Over U." But will the rest of her album make me happy? Let's go through these too-short snippets and see.

» "Friday I'll Be Over U"
This.

» "Robot Love"
In this pulsating electro-pop ditty (which samples Gary Glitter's "Rock and Roll Part II"), Iraheta is pissed that her boyfriend is in love with a robot. Whether said robot is an actual lady cyborg or just an iPhone is to be determined. Also TBD? Whether this song will have a discernible melody. We're on track two and I'm already thinking "filler?" Ruh-roh.

» "Just Like You"
Good news: I'm finally hearing Allison's voice without a bunch of studio trickery around it. Bad news: The mid-tempo chorus is as generic as it gets, both melodically and lyrically. Good news again: The verse sounds more promising, where the sassy teen sings about deleting a dude's texts.

» "Don't Waste the Pretty"
Whoever gave Iraheta this bland track should be choked. (Like this!) Did Roxette or Savage Garden write this? Was this left over from a Natalie Imbruglia CD? (It turns out the offending parties are Michael Dennis Smith, Stefanie Ridel, Miriam Nervo and Olivia Nervo.) "Don't waste the pretty on life/ 'Cause soon it's gonna fly on by." How did this new-age feel-good gunk make it on to the Rocker's album?

In the history of rock and roll, few bands have had worse luck than Aerosmith. Throughout their nearly four decade career, they've battled drug issues, marketplace apathy, illness and in-fighting. They were forced to cancel a tour this year because of an injury to frontman Steven Tyler, who recently decided that he would leave the band behind for a while to pursue a solo career. Guitarist and longtime Tyler collaborator Joe Perry (who has a solo album of his own) took to his Twitter to announce that while the band isn't breaking up, they are searching for a new singer while Tyler is off on his own. "Aerosmith is positively looking for a new singer to work with. You just can't take 40 years of experience and throw it in the bin," Perry tweeted. "[The] band is playing hotter than ever and our songs need to be played live. Don't despair: Aerosmith is not splitting up. Promise that's the last you'll hear from me on the subject 'till we gear up again."

Perry didn't drop any hints about who might temporarily dance in Tyler's bellbottoms, but luckily, MTV News has come up with a handful of suggestions that the Aerosmith boys might want to consider. It all depends on what they're looking for. Do they want to tap into a younger market? Maybe they should try to court junior R&B star Justin Bieber. Would they prefer somebody they've worked with before? Send offers to Katy Perry or Kid Rock. But honestly, do they have any better option than to dangle the job in front of Adam Lambert?

Today is Election Day, which means that the polls are open and the races for your local school board, aldermen, state representatives and the like are coming to a close with the help of good old-fashioned democracy. There are a handful of notable races happening across the country today, notably for mayor of New York City (something of a foregone conclusion) and for governor of New Jersey (a hotly-contested race) and Virginia (which everybody believes will be something of an early referendum on the job that Barack Obama has been doing). There is also a same-sex marriage law up for grabs in Maine and a civil unions law at stake in Washington (in both situations, laws have been passed but the public has the opportunity to overturn the legislation).

This election cycle obviously hasn't had the same high-profile stars as last year's presidential election (nobody is interested in writing songs for the mayor of Boston), but that doesn't mean your Election Day needs to be completely devoid of tunes. On the contrary, there are plenty of songs that engage our democratic ideals and also happen to be catchy, like Serj Tankian's "Unthinking Majority" and Pink's "Dear Mr. President." Ghostface's "Run" isn't about a campaign, but wouldn't it make an amazing motivational song for voters anyway? Anybody with a more aggro approach to today can sink their teeth into Corrosion of Conformity's "Vote with a Bullet" or (hed) pe's "Represent." And in case you just want to relive last year's historic election, bust out Young Jeezy's "My President."

Pink is currently bringing her Funhouse tour through Europe (she has a show in Glasgow tonight), but her mind is also on Halloween. The theatrical singer takes the forthcoming holiday seriously, and she turned to her over 600,000 Twitter followers for suggestions on what she should do for a costume this year. "What should I be for Halloween?" she tweeted. "I have a show that day, so the costume would just be for me, in my hotel room. I'd still go all out though."

She checked back in a little while later to weigh on some of the suggestions. "You are all insane," she tweeted. "A penguin? I like the glowstick one." She also noted that although she likes the idea of being a character from "True Blood," it's not quite what she is looking for. "I bet there will be 10 gazillion Sookie Stackhouses," she wrote. "I don't have that cool gap in my teeth. I wanna be a cheese ball."

It's uncertain whether Pink is simply looking for a costume that is cheesy or if she actually wants to dress up like a round orange snack food. Regardless, here are a few suggestions for Pink's costume dilemma.

» A Volturi Guard: Everybody's wild for vampires — especially the ones from "Twilight." So why not get ahead of the curve on the release of "New Moon" and dress like one of the Volturi? Hollywood Crush even has the complete guide.

» Octomom: Take eight vacuum cleaner hoses, affix them to the front of your mom jeans and voila! An incredibly lazy but funny and topical costume.

The new TV season is in full effect, and a handful of stars have taken to Twitter to weigh in on some of their favorite shows. Yesterday, Paramore singer Hayley Williams took some time off to watch multiple episodes of Showtime's "Dexter," the black comedy about a serial killer played by Michael C. Hall. "Dexterrrrrrr," she wrote in an on-point tweet. Clearly, she's enthusiastic about the show, and life on the road must be preventing her from keeping up with it. In a response to a friend, Williams tweeted, "I love Dexter. Literally just watched 7 episodes. All day long." Williams has excellent taste, as "Dexter" is one of the best shows on TV.

Williams isn't the only star on Twitter reviewing television. Pink weighed in on one of her favorite shows last night: ABC's "Brothers and Sisters," the drama series that stars Calista Flockhart, Rob Lowe and Sally Field. "I'm not one to try to persuade viewers — 'cause do what the f--- you want — but 'Brothers & Sisters' is my fav show," the singer tweeted. "I've never laughed and cried so much."

While both ladies are devoted to two excellent shows, they're going to have to cram in some viewing time while on the road. Pink is currently in Europe for another batch of shows on her tour for Funhouse, while Paramore will be crossing North America for the next few weeks before heading across the pond themselves.

The chill in the air is enough to convince us that fall is actually here. So rather than hitting the backyard barbecue, it's time for leaf peeping, pumpkin carving and watching college football. But before you wrap up the last of your work for the week and hit the nearest hay ride, be sure to check out everything you might have missed this week on the MTV Newsroom blog, from the deep dirt on Lady Gaga to some pre-emptively rejected Kris Allen album titles.

» Before Lady Gaga was a fashion-forward hit machine, she was just a New York University student desperately trying to eat a salad without hurting anybody.

» Backstreet Boy Brian Littrell forced the group to bow out of a bunch of promotional dates because he caught swine flu, but that didn't stop us from celbrating the release of the group's new album This Is Us.

» On "Dancing with the Stars," Debi Mazar and Tom DeLay both did the loser shuffle. Meanwhile, Chuck Liddell is gaining some serious skills, but the competition is still Mya's to lose.

» Kris Allen's debut album doesn't have a title yet, and MTV News' Jim Cantiello wants him to know what not to do.

» In other correspondent news, James Montgomery wrote some lovely things about Pink — so lovely, in fact, that she tweeted her gratitude.

Even before she tweeted about me, I liked Pink a whole lot.

I had gotten to know her a bit last summer, when I was shooting "FNMTV" with Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz and some British guy. She was just about as nice as you'd imagine, cracking jokes and hanging out backstage. She was pretty much the most down-to-earth celeb I had ever met. She didn't come to the set with an army of handlers and hangers-on, demand a private dressing room or pout about her own make-up artist. She was just a normal person (albeit one who had sold something like 25 million albums worldwide). Oh, and she said I could call her Alecia, too.

Anyway, at the time, she was still writing her Funhouse album, and she talked about the struggles she was having, about working long hours with Butch Walker to try and get the songs just right. She said it was going to be her most personal album (dealing mostly with her separation from husband Carey Hart) and that she was hoping her fans would be willing to listen. Needless to say, I didn't hold out much hope.

But luckily, I am a terrible judge of these things. Nearly a year after its release, Funhouse is a hit, selling more than 4 million copies around the world and giving Pink her first-ever Billboard Hot 100 #1. Still, she wasn't a household name here in the States, and that bothered me. I decided to turn my weekly Bigger Than The Sound column into an appreciation of Pink's career, her fearlessness and her bravado. I expected to hear from a few of her fans, but I didn't expect to hear from Pink herself.

Only I did. Earlier today, Pink tweeted a thank you to me (okay, and New York Times critic Jon Pareles, too). It was very sweet, and earned me a whole bunch of new Twitter friends. And it was just more proof that Pink — er, Alecia — really is about as nice as you'd imagine. Perhaps even more so.

Last night, Pink brought her fantastically theatrical Funhouse tour to Madison Square Garden for a bright, booming and (as promised on her Twitter) loud show. Pink, who seemed fully recovered from the shoulder injury that she complained about on the early dates on the tour, sang her way through a plethora of hits, performed stunts along the lines of her MTV Video Music Awards performance and, of course, flew through her set of costume changes — including MTV News' personal favorite, which involves a pink heart, a yellow marching band jacket, a purple leotard and a captain's hat.

Pink's set included her cover of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" and also an especially intense rendition of "Don't Let Me Get Me." She now has some down time (where she can enjoy the fall weather in New York) before the tour resumes at the end of next week in Dublin, Ireland. From there, she'll play shows all over the U.K. before heading out to the rest of Europe (including stops in Sweden, Germany, Switzerland and Denmark). The tour is in support of her still-going-strong album Funhouse, which was released nearly a year ago and is still kicking around the upper echelon of the Billboard album chart (she's moved 1.3 million copies of the record). At the end of October, Funhouse will get a re-release, which will feature two bonus tracks ("This Is How It Goes Down" and "Push You Away") plus a DVD featuring videos and commentary from Pink.

It can be difficult to keep track of all the celebrity tweeting that happens during any given week. It's one thing to obsessively refresh Miley Cyrus' feed to get updates on what Elton John songs she's grooving out to, but how can anybody be expected to know all of the memes John Mayer is trying to start or which former "American Idol" contestant thinks P.F. Chang's is delicious? You can't. But MTV News correspondent Jim Cantiello can, and every week he does in the Tweet Beat.

In this week's episode, Jason Castro weighs in on the nation's airport eateries, Tyra Banks types something crazy about plastic surgery, Yoko Ono fantasizes about dolphins (featuring the secret bonus "The Beatles: Rock Band" level!) and Pink lashes out at Kanye West for his VMA actions. Check out the full report below, and be sure to stay alert for the special cameo from Mr. West himself!

Following a triumphant night at the Video Music Awards (wherein she arrived on a fire truck, performed while swinging on a trapeze and managed to look better in a dress than Shakira), Pink headed across the country to Seattle to launch her Funhouse tour at the Key Arena.

The singer opened the show with the announcement that though she had separated her shoulder, she would not let the injury impede her performance. That made the next two hours all the more impressive, as Pink danced, swung and flew around the stage, making multiple costume changes while running through a string of her biggest hits. The stage was set up to look like a sort of energetic, dark carnival, as though Britney Spears' Circus tour had been slathered with greasepaint and become overrun by gypsies. Though this time she sang "Sober" while standing on the ground, she did take to the air for the opening of the show, which led into the set-opening "Bad Influence."

She chose a handful of covers to match the spectacle, too, as the singer tore into epic versions of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody," Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy" and Led Zeppelin's "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You." But it was her own tunes that brought on the biggest pops of the night, especially the show-closing one-two punch of "Get the Party Started" and "Glitter in the Air." The massive Funhouse tour continues tomorrow in San Jose, California, and then tears across the United States, culminating in a stop at New York City's Madison Square Garden before she crosses the pond to tackle Europe.
