Every day a multitude of stars wanders through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with our intrepid correspondents. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.

Former "American Idol" contestant David Archuleta didn't win the season he competed (that honor went to erstwhile Our Lady Peace fan David Cook), but in many ways it's worked out better for Archie. He has never had to deal with the pressure or scrutiny of being the winner, but there is still plenty of enthusiasm surrounding everything he works on (including his recently-released Christmas album). Plus, he's not hounded by photographers all that often. Really, it's the best kind of fame. Still, it was nice to see him show up in the paparazzi viewfinders yesterday, as Archuleta was spotted leaving high-end Los Angeles eatery Il Pastaio with singer and songwriter Kina Grannis.

He wasn't the only star who rolled in public yesterday, as Leona Lewis paid a visit to Radio One in London and Robin Thicke dropped in on a radio station in Miami. Click here for these photos plus the entire "Spotted!" archive, which features over 350 candid shots of stars like Britney Spears, Shakira, Mariah Carey, Madonna, Lady Gaga, the Jonas Brothers, Adam Lambert, Katy Perry, Beyoncé, Jay-Z and 50 Cent!

Leighton Meester plays fashionista Blair Waldorf on "Gossip Girl" every week, so her image in the new video for her single, "Somebody to Love," isn't much of a stretch: Meester casts herself as love-starved, clothes-conscious, jet-setting starlet pining for gong guest Robin Thicke.

In the a sneak peek for the video, Meester sits in the back of a town car with a black newsboy cap and spangled cut-out romper, writhing around while singing about looking for love. In other scenes, a more sultry Meester sings in a club and wraps herself in the curtains of her boudoir. Let's not forget the video also has the prerequisite rolling-around-in-the-bed scenes. What is a video about love without shots of a singing starlet writhing amidst her soft sheets?

Meester recently explained to MTV News the video isn't about the glamour shots of her and Thicke. Rather, what it's really about is the clothes. "It's basically going through my day, a sexy day in my life. We start off in the car we come in I keep on fantasizing and dreaming that I'm with somebody I can love," she explained. "He kind of comes and goes he disappears. It's mostly about the clothes and the looks so that's exciting for me. I've had a lot of fun with that."

Growing up watching MTV, I was always a big fan of the show "Making The Video." (Favorite episodes: Blink-182's "All The Small Things" and Lindsay Lohan's "Confessions of a Broken Heart (Daughter to Father)" — so tragic!) Now that I work at MTV and I get to visit the sets of music videos, it's always a real exciting coup.

On Sunday, fellow MTV Newsfolk Lisa Millstein, Saimon Kos and I headed to the SubMercer to check in on Leighton Meester and Robin Thicke's video for Meester's debut single "Somebody to Love." It may not be a Queen cover, but it's some great pop music. (If it played at my little cousin's Bat Mitzvah, I'd be on the dance floor in a big way.) The premise of the video involved Leighton trying to find — you guessed it — somebody to love. Thicke shows up at a hotel, in a crowded club and on the street looking to love her. I'll keep it vague, as it'll be out soon.

More importantly: Costumes. Thicke was wearing a really well-tailored black suit made out of an unconventional-looking material (it looked like hammered silk). When I further pressed him on what his suit was made of, he explained that it was the skin of an exotic land and sea animal (he was kidding). But Leighton was totally wearing animal: a short, black leather dress with buttons going up the back and a pair of 99-inch silver Galliano heels that wrapped around her leg. I feel like she cheated death with every step she took.

Elaborate music videos take a long time to shoot, and there is a lot of "hurry up and wait." That's a lot of what we did while waiting to grab some footage. However, there's something to be said about what happens when they do start to roll camera, as you're watching television magic happen!

It's worth noting that one of the coolest women who every smart girl needs to look up to, Zoe Cassavetes, directed the video. She's Sofia Coppola's BFF, and together they starred in "Ciao, LA" (also featuring three guys "from the hit series 'Sabotage'"). So, Zoe, if you're reading this, I'm a really big fan. And when I apologized because I accidentally knocked my bag into your side, I totally froze up and couldn't tell you why.

Working on Sunday sucks. For one, it's supposedly a day of rest. You should be out at the park, enjoying Sunday brunch or lying in your bed watching sports while you recover from your hangover. Worst of all is that you know the next day is Monday — the official start of the work week — and you have five more days of this. So as I stood in a torrential downpour in the middle of the Wall Township Speedway in South Belmar, New Jersey yesterday, I thought to myself, "This could be worse."

I'll backtrack a little. I was asked on Thursday if I wanted to interview Queen Latifah, and I said "Yeah," because it's Queen Latifah. I just didn't hear the part where my boss said "… interview Queen Latifah this weekend."

But I thought "Whatever, it's Queen Latifah." And then I found out the interview would take place at her video set in south Jersey, and I thought I should really stop saying yes to everything so quickly. But once my cameraman Joel and I arrived, it was actually pretty awesome.

As we drove up to the set, we saw it was a racetrack with Ford Mustangs racing around. We made our way to the center of the track, and Robin Thicke walked past us to go hop in to drive a blood red car. Common arrived a little while later to drive a cobalt blue one. We grabbed interviews with both guys, who spoke excitedly about getting the opportunity to drive on the track. They were just there to show love to Latifah, whom they described as good friend.

The day was going smoothly. Video set visits can take forever because artists have a commitment shoot their video, and we grab them when can, in between takes or during breaks. But after Queen Latifah finished shooting her first scene, she came over to us for her interview. However, just as she was getting her makeup touched up, the sky opened up.

News reports all weekend had said that Hurricane Bill wouldn't hit the Northeast all that badly, but an hour later we were huddled up under Latifah's tent with about 10 of her people as the water continued to rise. They sang, danced and joked around, which helped pass time, and she even went out of her way to make sure we grabbed an interview later on.

The racetrack was below sea level, so the more it rained the more we became worried about all the electrical cords that surrounded us. I didn't get electrocuted, so it could've been much worse. Thankfully, I'm here to write about it ... on a Monday.

Last night, Robin Thicke and Jazmine Sullivan each delivered swoon-worthy sets at a free concert in Brooklyn, NY as part of the annual Martin Luther King Jr. concert series. But I'm not going to lie: While Sullivan is a stellar performer who delivered neck-snapping renditions of some of her best songs (including "Bust Your Windows," a show highlight), I was mostly there to drink in Thicke.

Anticipation for the sensuous R&B crooner was high, and he converted the chants of "Robin!" into lustful screams as soon as he hit the stage and busted into "Teach Me a Lesson." The moaning and pelvic thrusting continued through snogs from both of his albums, including the Lil Wayne-assisted hit single "Shooter."

In the middle of his performance, Robin Thicke paid homage to late legend Michael Jackson with his own version of "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough," which prompted the audience to sing along at a deafening volume. He walked off the stage leaving behind the same fever pitch that welcomed him, making it clear that when it comes to Robin Thicke, it's never enough.

Jennifer HudsonIt's no secret that some of the performances on "American Idol" elimination shows are pre-taped. And, most of the time, you can't really tell because of all the flashing lights and carefully choreographed camerawork.

Except last night, when returning "Idol" finalist Jennifer Hudson ripped a hole in the show's space-time continuum by forgetting to pretend she was in the present and speaking about a future that had already happened in the past. Confused? Let us explain.

See, Hudson — who was unceremoniously dumped from the third season of "Idol" in seventh place — reportedly taped her performance of "If This Isn't Love" several weeks ago, around the time she was slated to begin her tour with Robin Thicke. But when host Ryan Seacrest asked her about her first road trip on "Wednesday night," Hudson stammered, saying, "Yeah, starting my tour." Then, looking a bit confused, she added, "Yeah, it's starting, like, in a little bit, yeah, on tour with Robin, so that's very exciting and it's my first tour." Read more...

Robin Thicke
Look up the word "cool" in any dictionary, and you'll see that it has a lot of different meanings. In my book, artists like Bob Marley, the Beatles and Prince are the very definition of the word "cool." Well, add to that list the name Robin Thicke. It's a bold statement, I know ... but then, so is Robin's new album.

It hits stores today, so we put the call in and got him to stop by MTV HQ on the eve of his big album launch. Something Else is definitely not what you would call ordinary. It's not cookie-cutter R&B, it doesn't have a whole load of big-name collaborations (only one ... yes, Lil Wayne on "Tie My Hands"), and it's undoubtedly the album that Robin always wanted to make. You see, that's something that's very important to Thicke. He's an artist who holds his own musical integrity in the highest regard. Simply put, Thicke would rather busk on the street all his life than put out an album that he had no creative control over.

We chopped it up about his new album; the lead single, "Magic" (and why it wasn't his first choice); collaborating with his lovely wife, Paula Patton (who starred in "Mirrors" with Kiefer Sutherland and "Déjà Vu" opposite the legend that is Denzel Washington); and of course, my new favorite song right now, the excellent "Dreamworld." This album might be his best yet. Trust me — go buy it, call over your "special friend" and press play. By the fifth track, it's pretty clear: A lot of babies are going to be made to this album.

We'll have much more from this interview in the coming days.

Last night, the suddenly legendary Japanese clothing line A Bathing Ape (that's BAPE to you) opened their LA store. And it was packed with folks who can afford to put down that kind of cash for, well, sweatshirts. That means Pharrell, Kanye, Jermaine Dupri, Pete Wentz, and...

...Mike Tyson. Truly.

The photo evidence is all here. And yes, we all agree that Tyson would look ridiculous in one of those hot-pink camouflage hoodies. No argument there, people.
