Every day a multitude of stars wanders through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with our intrepid correspondents. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.

A year ago, Susan Boyle was a simple woman living in Scotland with her cat and volunteering at her local church. Back in April, her appearance on "Britain's Got Talent" changed her life completely. Boyle walked onto the stage to chuckles and derision from the live crowd, but then delivered a stunning vocal rendition of "I Dreamed a Dream" from Broadway musical Les Miserables that nearly brought professionally snippy talent judge Simon Cowell to tears. She immediately attracted the attention of record companies, who were not only interested in Boyle's impressive instrument but also in the buzz she created on the Internet (clips of her singing "I Dreamed a Dream" have been watched over 100 million times on YouTube alone). Today marks the incredible culmination of her journey, as her debut album I Dreamed a Dream is out in stores, and she celebrated with a performance on "Today." Once again, Boyle was in fine voice as she churned out "I Dreamed a Dream," her cover of the Rolling Stones' "Wild Horses" and the torch song "Cry Me a River" (made popular by Ella Fitzgerald).

Boyle wasn't the only star taking care of business in the last few days, as Spencer Pratt was spotted signing copies of his new book "How to Be Famous" at a bookstore in Los Angeles. Elsewhere in L.A., it was all about leisure, as Jay-Z, Polow Da Don and members of the Black Eyed Peas all took in yesterday's Lakers game (Kobe Bryant and friends scored another victory, this time against the Oklahoma City Thunder). Click here for these pictures as well as the entire "Spotted!" archive, which features over 350 candid shots of stars like Britney Spears, Madonna, Beyoncé, Justin Timberlake, the Jonas Brothers, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Shakira, Adam Lambert and Mariah Carey!

In any given year, there isn't a whole lot of buzz surrounding the Miss Universe pageant. After all, does anybody really need to know that a bikini-clad woman from Croatia likes Julia Roberts movies? But the buzz for last night's show was much larger, not just because everybody was curious if Miss Venezuela would repeat (she did!) but because MTV reality star Heidi Montag would be making her live debut with a performance of her new single "Body Language," from her forthcoming album.

Following an introduction by pageant co-host Claudia Jordan, the Yaz-borrowing intro to "Body Language" kicked in and Montag stormed the stage wearing a black blazer and flesh-colored pants. She quickly doffed the jacket to reveal a flesh-colored top, creating an almost-nude effect not unlike Britney Spears' outfit at the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards. Montag lip-synced the song and stayed in step with her backup dancers, all of whom had been furiously rehearsing in preparation for the show, which broadcast from the Bahamas. During the performance, the broadcast frequently cut away from Montag to show clips of various contestants in bathing suits on the beach, and when the camera was on Heidi, it was more than a little zoom-happy. Still, she got across the sexiness of the song despite a few dancing missteps.

By the time the song wrapped up, Montag was clearly out of breath but looked satisfied. We didn't get the chance to hear how her voice sounded live in person, but there will likely be more chances in the future. General sentiment was that the dancing was a little off, but it was honestly hard to tell considering the production and camera choices. Montag earned herself a passing grade, which means that the jury is still out on whether or not her music career will take off.

Looks like Al Roker hasn't let the beef with Speidi slide just yet. This morning on the "Today" show, talk of his controversial interview with Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag on Monday was inevitable, as the "weatherman" proclaimed he could take Spencer in a fight and would have "dumped him like a bag of dirt." Although Al was just firing back at Spencer (who told TMZ that he "would've ripped the dude's head off" if he hadn't been saved by Jesus), I'm not quite sure if the 52-year-old host of a family friendly show should be talking such smack on morning TV. But it was entertaining to say the least.

Up there with Rosie O'Donnell vs. Donald Trump or even Jamie Foxx vs. Miley Cyrus, the Speidi vs. Roker beef might be one of our strangest yet. How's it going to play out?

I have a suggestion.

We should get Al Roker into a studio with a hip-hop producer like Swizz Beatz, and get him to record a dis track under the rap moniker the Weather Man. We'll even foot the bill, just to see it happen (Editor's note: By "we," Tim must mean himself). Get Pharrell to take him shopping and get his hip-hop swagger on. Get Diddy to teach him some performance moves ... and voilà: The Weather Man is born!

And with Spencer making a foray into the world of hip-hop, Roker should do the same. Both new rappers should release their songs on iTunes, and whoever sells more wins the beef!

Come on, admit it. It's kinda genius!

Over the past couple of weeks, "The Hills" stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt's antics on "I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!" have been one of the most talked-about items on the Internet. And on this morning, the couple stopped by MTV headquarters to give us the scoop on what really went on in the jungle.

The couple were up at 4 a.m. for a full day of press, starting with the "Today" show and host Al Roker — which, as it turned out, was not the most peaceful way to start their day. (The couple had plenty to say about their heated conversation with Roker.) After taking some time to talk with Ryan Seacrest on his show about Roker, and then their appearance on MTV's new show "It's On With Alexa Chung" (well done on a great show, Alexa), we caught up with Speidi for a quick chat.

For a quick chat, we covered a lot of ground: Why they left the show, their takes on fellow castmates, how Heidi's sister Holly is doing on the show, Holly and Sanjaya's relationship (Heidi calls them "Sanjayolly"), whether they'd ever go back to the jungle, Heidi's Playboy shoot and much more!

Despite all the controversy, I must say I enjoy meeting up with these two whenever they're in town: They're relentless in their quest to be the most famous couple in the world, and even though they might never reach the levels of Brangelina or TomKat, Speidi are certainly giving it their best shot!

This morning, Heidi and Spencer Pratt made the latest stop on their post-"I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!" tour, paying a visit to Al Roker on 'Today.' Roker, not known for his hard-charging interview style, took the couple to task for their performances on the show.

The couple seemed as disoriented as they were on the show: Spencer seems confused whether or not he talks to his sister and swears he doesn't want to be a villain (except when he does), and the couple claim they never talked about torture. When asked if she was proud of her performance on the show, Heidi said, "I'm not ashamed." Roker sounded genuinely exasperated with the couple, but then again he's usually wishing old ladies happy birthday and not talking to reality show contestants. When asked what was next for the much-maligned couple, Spencer simply responded, "We live in the moment."

Spencer PrattWednesday night's "I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here" was the first Speidi-less episode, and sadly, the magic was missing. Without the MTV stars hogging the spotlight, Janice Dickinson stepped up as the attention whore, and her shenanigans weren't anything I hadn't already seen on "America's Next Top Model" or "The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency." Over it. Plus, you know producers are desperate when they devote 20-plus minutes to a John Salley/ Janice Dickinson argument about whether she spilled water in his boot. No, thank you. (Not to mention that John's subsequent meltdown/apology after calling Janice a filthy word was just plain depressing.)

The show wasn't a complete wash, however. Aside from Speidi's bizarre return (more on that later), I must admit that I'm still delighted by watching "celebrities" forced to degrade themselves on television. The food challenge involved the stars sticking their hands in a hole filled with different creepy crawlies (tarantulas, earthworms in cow dung, and, uh, frogs?) in order to blah, blah, blah, not important. All you need to know is that Lou Diamond Phillips' arm got chewed off by rats, and then after he got fixed by the medics, he compared his experience on the show to that of the brave men and women who fought in the Vietnam War! Say what?!!

Also, Daniel "Black Sheep" Baldwin joined the cast, much to the delight of Janice, who saw the addition as an opportunity to get more screen time. She's already announced that she plans on seducing Stephen's brother. Gross. But Daniel's debut was upstaged by ... Read More...

As if having one Pratt in the music industry weren't enough for America's collective eardrums to handle, Heidi's new husband, Spencer Pratt, is now getting in on the music game. Today on Ryan Seacrest's radio show, Spencer debuted his new rap song, aptly titled "I'm a Celebrity."

The song seems to be a plug for his and Heidi's gig on NBC's "I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!" It features such rhymes as, "Baby, I get paid/ I don't volunteer/ I'm a celebrity/ Get me outta here." He also raps, "Baby I watch TV/ And run the Internet/ Been around the world/ And still I'm not finished yet."

And in case we forgot that he is Spencer Pratt and he is famous, he reiterates one more time: "Me, not famous?/ Whoa, that's scary!" Lucky for us, Spencer doesn't think you'll be jetting down to hot spots like H.Wood to check out his music. He has coined a new term for what he does: "They don't hear me in the clubs/ This is ringtone rap."

Spence also gives his new wife a shout-out: "I'm a celebrity/ Five-star everything/ My money is attached to me/ Just like my wedding ring."

But Spencer knows some people are going to hate him and his song. And, like any good rapper, he has taken to his rhymes to express the pain he's gone through in his life. "Counting on the haters/ Every day to keep me going/ Without the haters, baby/ I would be no one."

Heidi Montag and Spencer PrattWho would have ever guessed that Spencer Pratt, star of "The Hills" and one half of the newly married gruesome twosome known as Speidi, loves to be famous?

Right? It's hard to believe that Spencer, who spends his days "managing" Heidi's music career (taking time out for various other endeavors like walking red carpets), admitted to the TheDailyBeast.com that he and his new wife love being in the spotlight.

"Heidi and I, do we love fame," Pratt told the Web site. "We're honored to be famous. We feel blessed to be famous." Read More...

Matt Giraud finally had to face his fate last night on "American Idol." Check out our recap of the show, and see how fans of Kris Allen and Adam Lambert reacted to the front-runners' appearance in the bottom three.

Check out our analysis of the trailer for Eminem's rather bloody upcoming "3 A.M." video.

Heidi Montag is done shooting her music video in Mexico, and it's time for Speidi's honeymoon. Will they Tweet throughout that too?

Forget all the hype about Susan Boyle, we'd like to concentrate on Allison Iraheta, the original underdog with the amazing voice.

Aren't 7-Eleven Slurpees delicious? Hmm, are they still delicious when there are Terminator robots stuck to the straws?

By Eric Ditzian, with reporting by Josh Horowitz

On Monday night's red carpet for the Film Society of Lincoln Center's annual gala, the focus was mostly on honoree, Oscar-winner and all-around swell guy Tom Hanks. That is, until our own Josh Horowitz had a chance to speak with Charlize Theron and the talk turned to stars of a very different variety.

As you may have heard, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt of "The Hills" got married last weekend, and Josh wanted to know how Charlize felt about the development. Read More...
