Every day a multitude of stars wanders through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with our intrepid correspondents. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.

American country music is obviously massive on American shores, but it very rarely makes the transition onto the international stage. Like most things in life in 2009, the rules are different for Taylor Swift. She is currently in England for two huge shows, one in London at Wembley Arena, the other in Manchester at the Manchester Evening News Arena. It makes sense, as now that she has conquered this country with album sales, awards and hosting gigs on "Saturday Night Live," she might as well cross the ocean. Though her first show isn't until Monday (November 23), she is already in London seeing the sights and doing some promotional work. She was spotted outside of her hotel in the English capital yesterday, and based on the fervor surrounding her presence, it looks like she will have conquered the U.K. by this time next week.

She didn't have Europe to herself, though, as Mariah Carey was in Paris promoting Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel. Meanwhile, a multitude of stars — including the Olsen sisters, Ashley Greene and People's Sexiest Man of the Year Johnny Depp — came out to the Museum of Modern Art in New York for the opening of the museum's tribute to Tim Burton. Click here for these photos as well as the entire "Spotted!" archive, which features over 350 candid shots of stars like Britney Spears, Madonna, the Jonas Brothers, Lady Gaga, Kanye West, Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry, Shakira, Adam Lambert and Rihanna!

It seems like every other week there are rumors of some celebrity dying that quickly becomes an Internet rumor that is re-tweeted and Googled so often it almost becomes the truth. Jeff Goldblum had to fight off rumors of his death with appearances on "The Colbert Report," and it took a response from girlfriend Amber Rose to prove that Kanye West hadn't in fact perished in a car crash. Miley Cyrus' death rumors weren't even dignified with a response (rumors about her demise seem to surface every other day).

This morning, there was a new entry in the I'm-not-really-dead pantheon: Taylor Swift. The idea got passed around last night and quickly became a trend on Google and Twitter. But Swift remains alive and well, having tweeted just a few hours ago, "Dancing around my kitchen to 'Do You Remember' by Jay Sean. I love every song he's put out so far!" So unless she's allergic to funk, Swift remains alive and well and probably still basking in the glow of the four awards she won at last week's CMA show.

It's alarming how easy it is to get rumors like this going. All it takes is a fake report from a news source, a reference on a blog or two and a handful of tweets and suddenly it becomes a legitimate rumor. And curiosity about the possibility only fuels the rumor itself, as people continue to search for phrases like "Taylor Swift dead" and such. But Swift is fine, and will be ready to head to the U.K. next week for two high profile shows in London and Manchester.

Another week has come to a close here in the MTV Newsroom, and it's been an especially busy one. We saw some fascinating video premieres, a few great album previews, some hilarious interviews and at least one modeling lesson for one of our staffers. Before you hit the town to sing karaoke or go to a screening of "2012" (because the stupid Adirondack Mountains have had it coming to them for a while), check out everything you might have missed this week.

» This week was all about Taylor Swift. She brought big laughs on "Saturday Night Live," and then swept the CMA Awards. And just for good measure, producer Butch Walker paid her a tribute with a cover of "You Belong With Me."

» Kanye West probably didn't like this year's CMA Awards broadcast, but he can take solace in the fact that he would make the ideal Super Bowl performer.

» Veteran rock band Aerosmith threatened to come apart at the seams several times this week, so we provided a few helpful suggestions for possible Steven Tyler replacements.

» Looking to find some old, inexpensive music this weekend? Try some semi-forgotten albums from Air and the Strokes, as featured in the new edition of "Bargain Spins."

» New music from two "American Idol" artists got the preview treatment from Jim Cantiello, who really liked Kris Allen's self-titled debut but thought that Allison Iraheta's forthcoming record was a little less promising.

In a fast-moving digital world where catchphrases and memes disappear 20 minutes after they're declared cool, it must be especially frustrating to be Kanye West. It has now been two months since he crashed Taylor Swift's acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards, but the rest of the media world refuses to let West forget about it. West has apologized to Swift (both in public on national television and in a private phone conversation) and stayed out of the public eye since that fateful night at Radio City Music Hall, but it seems like any time anybody has an awards show, it crops back up again. In fact, getting interrupted during an awards show moment is now simply called "getting Kanye'd."

Case in point: On last night's Country Music Association Awards show, co-hosts Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley were in the middle of a bit when they were interrupted by Grand Ole Opry legend Little Jimmy Dickens, who stepped up to the microphone and said, "I'll let you finish later. I know you had a nice video and all, but Taylor Swift made the best video of all time. Of all time!"

Just a few weeks ago, Katy Perry got into the act while she was hosting the MTV Europe Music Awards. During the announcement of the nominees for Best Urban Video, Perry dropped in once Kanye's name was announced and said, "I'mma let you finish, but this is the best awards show interruption of all time. Of all time!"

And a mere week after Kanye stormed his way into infamy, he was the butt of a handful of jokes at the Emmys, including Justin Timberlake slipping "I'mma let you finish" a speech and actor Ken Howard saying, "I will make my speech as brief as possible in the hope that it won't be interrupted by a congressman or a rapper."

In the wake of the initial incident, Kanye's visit to the stage became an incredible photo meme that still refuses to die and also crossed paths with the Joe Wilson "You lie!" incident (which is almost entirely forgotten by the rest of the world).

And it's not like Kanye invented the idea of crashing awards shows. Who could forget Ol' Dirty Bastard, Rage Against the Machine bassist Tim Commerford, "Soy Bomb" or any of the other legendary stage crashers? Kanye West's legacy as a producer and performer was already in tact, but now it looks like he'll have "The Kanye" at the top of his resumé for a while.

It isn't enough that Taylor Swift is beautiful, charming and extremely talented both as a songwriter and a performer. She's also critically-acclaimed and regularly recognized by her peers as an exceptional talent. Fresh off her victory for Best Female Video at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, Swift added four more honors to her already extensive resumé at last night's Country Music Association Awards. Swift took home the top prize of Entertainer of the Year (snapping a streak long held by Kenny Chesney) and also won Female Vocalist of the Year (a title previously held for three consecutive years by Carrie Underwood). Swift also won Album of the Year for her indestructible opus Fearless (which remains in the top 10 on the Billboard chart a year after its release) and Music Video of the Year for her clip for "Love Story."

In years past, the CMA Awards have been especially country-centric, but there was plenty of room for crossover this time around. In addition to Swift's victories, former Hootie & the Blowfish frontman Darius Rucker scored the title of New Artist of the Year, and indie-friendly alt-country outlaw Jamey Johnson picked up the prize for Song of the Year.

Swift — whose reaction to even getting nominated for Entertainer of the Year was blissfully charming — was her usual humble self during the proceedings. She invited her band out for a group hug during an acceptance speech, and she summed up the evening on Twitter. "I have said 'I love you' to so many people tonight," she wrote. "I can't stop hugging people. This is magical."

In the history of rock and roll, few bands have had worse luck than Aerosmith. Throughout their nearly four decade career, they've battled drug issues, marketplace apathy, illness and in-fighting. They were forced to cancel a tour this year because of an injury to frontman Steven Tyler, who recently decided that he would leave the band behind for a while to pursue a solo career. Guitarist and longtime Tyler collaborator Joe Perry (who has a solo album of his own) took to his Twitter to announce that while the band isn't breaking up, they are searching for a new singer while Tyler is off on his own. "Aerosmith is positively looking for a new singer to work with. You just can't take 40 years of experience and throw it in the bin," Perry tweeted. "[The] band is playing hotter than ever and our songs need to be played live. Don't despair: Aerosmith is not splitting up. Promise that's the last you'll hear from me on the subject 'till we gear up again."

Perry didn't drop any hints about who might temporarily dance in Tyler's bellbottoms, but luckily, MTV News has come up with a handful of suggestions that the Aerosmith boys might want to consider. It all depends on what they're looking for. Do they want to tap into a younger market? Maybe they should try to court junior R&B star Justin Bieber. Would they prefer somebody they've worked with before? Send offers to Katy Perry or Kid Rock. But honestly, do they have any better option than to dangle the job in front of Adam Lambert?

There aren't many true superstars left in the music world. Sure, there are plenty of people who make a big splash, but how many artists can pick up some buzz and then turn that into a sustainable career? When you consider her reach and her ability to diversify, it's possible to say that Taylor Swift is the country's biggest music star at the moment. On this day last year, Swift released her second album Fearless, which expanded on the promise of her self-titled debut and blew her pop-country sound open to embrace every listener at once. It's rare that an attempt to be everything to everyone actually pays off, but Swift's Fearless is the exception to the rule. 52 weeks later, Fearless remains in the top 10 on the Billboard album chart and has sold over four million copies. In fact, the only album on the chart whose sales are even close to Fearless is Swift's own self-titled debut, which broke a record for most consecutive charting weeks (it'll log its 159th this week).

But of course simple album sales do not necessarily a superstar make. Rather, Swift's ubiquity owes to her ability to co-host the CMT Awards, duet with T-Pain, take Kanye West's stage-crashing in stride while winning the VMA for Best Female Video and host "Saturday Night Live" (all of which she has done in the past six months). Like any good 21st century star, she has also taken the art of the music video very seriously. All the clips from Fearless are deeply cinematic affairs, including the quirky "You Belong With Me" and the lush "Fifteen." But it's the clip for "Love Story" that really put Swift over the top, casting her as the princess that all the girls in her audience want to be.

The centerpiece of Taylor Swift's musical performance on this past weekend's edition of "Saturday Night Live" was her smash "You Belong With Me," and it drove home the fact that it's a really stunning, moving, catchy tune. The Fearless track, co-written by Swift and songwriter Liz Rose, features a sweet hook, direct lyrics and Swift's amazing voice, which melds country twang with teenage heartbreak.

But does it work without Swift's command of the melody? Producer Butch Walker — best known for his work with Pink, Avril Lavigne and Katy Perry and as the frontman of power-poppers Marvelous 3 — intended to find out. Over the weekend, he posted a video of himself recording and performing his own cover of "You Belong With Me." The seven-minute clip begins with Walker messing around in a studio, playing with drums and tuning a mandolin, while also taking breaks to drink copious amounts of water and hit the bathroom. Eventually, he settles into recording, and the final few minutes represent his full cover of the song.

It's an interesting contrast, as Walker shifted the lyrics around so that the song is from a male perspective. Walker's intense, whisper-fueled voice in the first verse shifts the sentiment from longing to slightly uncomfortable obsession (though that may be because he's a 39-year-old guy singing a song usually coming out of a teenager). Still, the loose, rambling arrangement does give the track a jolt of energy that is missing from the squeaky-clean production of Swift's version (though it seems impossible that Walker's entry could ever peak at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100).

In the video, Walker asks, "Does anyone know Taylor's e-mail?" Perhaps he found her, as Swift tweeted about the cover late last night. "Butch Walker covered 'You Belong With Me' and I'm losing my mind listening to it! Blown away," she wrote. "This weekend rules."

On last night's episode of "Saturday Night Live," Taylor Swift made her second appearance as a musical guest and her first ever as the host. The result was the finest episode of the long-running late-night series so far this season (which, to be fair, has been pretty uneven). Sometimes the cast will wear kid gloves around non-actors, but Swift obviously delivered on her promise on being game for anything, as she was in most every segment on the show. Rarely has a performer worked so hard, and she was rewarded for it with a handful of big laughs and torrents of applause.

As usual, the highlight of the night was the digital short, which was a trailer for a "Twilight" spoof called "Firelight." In it, Swift (in an awesomely bad Bella wig) pines over Frankenstein (who can't kiss people because he accidentally chokes them to death). Instead of a werewolf getting jealous, Swift's character is warned by a mummy. It was fantastically hilarious, especially Bill Hader's performance as the object of Swift's affection. The rest of the show was formidable, but "Firelight" will certainly live on as a classic bit of comedy that Swift can add to her constantly-growing resumé as a multi-dimensional entertainer.

The first week of November is almost behind us, and while the march toward the holidays is already on, that doesn't mean the music world took any time off. In fact, the next few weeks should be quite exciting, with oodles of new music, video and tour news coming at a rapid pace. The MTV Newsroom team will be all over everything as soon as it breaks, but for now, catch yourself up on everything that you might have missed.

» Some samples of Adam Lambert's new album hit the Web, and Jim Cantiello broke down every second of them.

» The Weezer Snuggie (or "The Wuggie") is pretty incredible, though even frontman Rivers Cuomo has no idea why.

» Both Chris Brown and Rihanna talked extensively about the assault back in February. Brown sat down with Sway to talk about the aftermath while Rihanna spoke to ABC about expectations and the future.

» Justin Bieber had a busy week: He dropped a new single, announced his golden ticket contest and impressed Ellen DeGeneres during his guest spot on her talk show.

» The Bieber performance was part of a busy week for Ellen, who also spent time scaring the heck out of Taylor Swift.
